Microsoft moves to compostable dining products

This is great!
Microsoft switches to compostable utensils, cups in cafeterias

"Microsoft received certified-green restaurant status from the Green Restaurant Association, an 18-year-old Boston nonprofit that consults with restaurants and food-service organizations on environmentally sustainable practices. It is the first U.S. corporate campus to receive the certification."
Hopefully others will follow suit!

Not sure what to do with your old electronics?

I heard about this site on the radio today. You can enter a zip code and find nearby locations where you can take electronic devices you no longer want instead of throwing them away. Great idea!

Want a green lawn but don't like toxins?

Here's a lawn care company I heard about recently:

They offer 100% pesticide free plans and have natural alternatives to keep you lawn looking great without all the chemical fertilizers used by conventional lawn care companies.

A quote from one of the customers:

"They use organic products where ever they can. My yard looks as good as my neighbors who dump toxic chemicals all over their yard."

Well said!

More people discovering green building

Here's an article about increased interst and availability in green homes in the Charlotte area:

While a 12,000 square foot home may not make sense for most of us, it's great to see that it's getting easier to find and take advantage of eco-friendly options for creating a place to live!
